In order to function and correctly transmit the data gathered to the base, the anemometers must be installed with particular care. You are advised first of all to read the instruction manual closely, which ensures the primary installation of the anemometer.
An anemometer must generally be placed on a fixed pole (non metallic) and, preferably, on a pole which does not support any television antenna so as to avoid any interference with the transmission of data.
Should the anemometer be placed on a pole or anywhere else on the roof, it must be preferably installed high up and be free from any restriction.
Equally important: the anemometer must be perfectly level, otherwise the measurement will be false; secondary risk of bad installation: a non-centred functioning of the potentiometer supplying the solar batteries, leading to serious risk of damage.
NB: The anemometers of our Weather Stations are not to be installed on boats since they need to be placed on a fixed point.
